Players must raise Zubat to level 22 to transform it into Golbat with Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. After beating the second gym of Hearthome City, head to Amity Square and talk to the clerk. After you have left the Square, choose a cute Pokemon to be your follower. Any Pokemon in your party can then follow you around.
