Tales of Arise is the first Tales game since 2016. It follows a group of brave warriors who fight to free the planet of Dahna, from the oppressive colonizing kingdom of Rena. This band of heroes moves from one region to the next, liberating kingdoms under Renan control and leading ionate resistance against their oppressors.
Tales of Arise was released to great critical acclaim. We reviewed and were impressed by the action-RPG combat and memorable characters. However, we had some concerns about the pace and use of microtransactions.
NME reported that the game was the fastest selling Tales game. The title’s commercial and critical success is also evident by the fact that it sold 1.5 million units in less than two months. This will hopefully mean that it will take less six years to obtain the next installment of the Tales series.
